Recipe(tried): Keeping Lettuce - what works for me

Tips and Tricks - Cooking
I don't remember where I heard about this, but I wash and spin dry the lettuce, then lay it out in a single layer on paper towels, then roll it up jelly-roll style, so you effectively have layers of lettuce and towel. I then put it in a plastic bag, not closed, and into the fridge. I find it keeps very well this way, and you don't have to keep washing what you need.
