8 c finely chopped cabbage (1 head)
1/4 c shredded carrot ( 1 med)
1/3 c sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/4 c milk
1/2 c mayonnaise
1/4 c buttermilk
1 1/2 tbsp white vinegar
2 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
be sure cabbage and carrots are chopped into very fine pieces.
combine sugar, salt, pepper, milk, mayo, buttermilk, vinegar, and lemon juice and beat until smooth.
add the carrots and cabbage. mix well
cover and refrigerate AT LEAST 2 hours before serving - this time is vital for the best flavor.
