Misc.I don't have the recipe handy, but a search will uncover No-Bake Cookies, or Skillet cookies since you have a hot plate. In a microwave, you can make the fudge recipe on the back of the 7 0z. jar of marshmallow creme. I make things with my Bible school class, and they like just about anything spread on a flour tortilla, rolled up, sliced and eaten. Some of those ideas are peanut butter and bananas, and cream cheese and grape jelly. Also, cream cheese, black olives, and shredded cheese, or peanut butter and honey. Sometimes I bake sugar cookies at home, and bring in several tubs of icing and toppings, and they ice and fix their own cookies for snack. You can make the sugar cookie in the shape of the topic being studied! Microwave some more's are always fun. Just threading chunks of fresh fruit onto bamboo skewers, making a dipping sauce, then letting the children have them for snack is fun. Pretzel sticks in cheese cubes is "cooking"! Making chocolate (or other desired flavors) pudding on the hot plate, then pouring them into store bought graham cracker shells, topped with cool whip (or if you are brave, the type in the spray can....) makes a quick and easy pie the kids can brag about. Usually craft books have some ideas about simple recipes, and there are lots of places to search on TKL!!!! Have fun. It's stuff like that the kids remember about their class when they are older...the FUN stuff. And, if it doesn't turn out, or a bit of a mess occurs, well, that's all part of it. Have some bags of microwave popcorn handy, and they'll be happy!
