LINGUINE WITH WHITE CLAM SAUCE
1 pound linguine, uncooked
2/3 cup butter or margarine
1/3 cup olive oil
3 each (8 oz each) cans minced clams, drained
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1/3 cup finely chopped parsley
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon salt
Black pepper to taste
Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
Cook linguine according to package directions; drain well and return to pot.
Melt butter in saucepot; add oil; heat. Sauce clams and garlic in hot oil mixture over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
Stir in parsley, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5-10 minutes.
Add sauce to pasta; toss lightly. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
Makes 4 servings
