Recipe(tried): Loose Meat Sandwiches
SandwichesMy mom was born and raised in Sioux City, Ia. This recipe has been passed down. My family prefers loose meats over sloppy joes anytime.
Loose Meat Sandwiches
5 lbs. hamburger
1 cup finely chopped onion
1 cup beef broth
4 oz. ketchup
3 heaping tsp. yellow mustard
3 heaping tsp. prepared horse radish
2 tsp Worcestershire
1 to 2 tsp. salt
1 heaping tsp. flavored accent
1/4 tsp. pepper
In a Dutch oven brown meat with onion till thoroughly cooked.
Add the remaining ingredients; simmer 40 minutes.
Serve on buns.
