Main Dishes - Beef and Other Meats
MAPLE-PEPPER STEAKS

1/2 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tbsp coarsely ground black pepper
1 tbsp chopped fresh thyme
4 garlic cloves, peeled
1/2 tsp kosher salt
4 (6 oz each) beef tenderloin steaks (1 1/2 inches thick)

Combine all ingredients except the beef in a blender. Process until well blended.

Combine the beef with half of the sauce, let stand for 30 minutes or refrigerate up to 4 hours.

Remove the beef from the marinade, discarding the marinade. Cook beef in grill pan or on the grill, basting with the remaining sauce.
