Recipe(tried): Not as Fat Pesto

Not too Fat Pesto

1 cup chicken broth
1 cup fresh basil
1 TB olive oil
6 cloves garlic
1/2 - 1 tsp black pepper (depending on your taste buds)
1/4 cup fresh oregano

Blend it all together and toss with pasta and choice. I usually toss mine with chicken, fresh chopped tomatoes (skin removed) and chopped artichoke hearts. The other day, a neighbor gave us some little green peppers, so this is what I prepared, but with shrimp instead of chicken. My hubby likes mushrooms (I don't) so a portion was tossed with sauteed mushrooms.
