Recipe(tried): Old Fashioned Sweet and Sour Cole Slaw (using heavy cream)

Salads - Vegetables
MJ - this is pretty close to what you are looking for - don't let the vinegar throw you off, you really can't taste it. I had a friend who was having a party that wanted me to make this because she loved it so much and my father-in-law who doesn't like any kind of coleslaw likes it too. The dressing kind of thickens up a bit, I wouldn't add any mayo to it at all.

OLD FASHIONED SWEET AND SOUR COLE SLAW

1 medium head cabbage (6 cups), chopped
1 cup whipping cream
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup white vinegar
1 tsp. salt

Place cabbage in bowl. Cover and chill overnight. In a separate container combine cream, sugar, vinegar, and salt, mix well until frothy. Chill. Just before serving mix dressing into cabbage.

I have also added some shredded carrot or poppy seeds on ocassion.

Very delicious!
