Orange Ice
Recipe By : Copyright 1996 by Kerr Corporation
Serving Size : 6

3 cups freshly squeezed orange juice
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 teaspoon orange zest
3/4 cup sugar

1. Combine all the ingredients and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Pour into an ice cream machine and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Allow the ice to ripen in the deep freeze for an hour before serving.

NOTES : If you don't have an ice cream machine, you may freeze the mixture in a baking pan in the deep freeze. This will probably take up to 2 hours, depending on your freezer. Break up the ice with a wooden spoon and place it in a large bowl. Beat it with an electric mixer until slushy and refreeze. You can serve it at this point or continue beating and freezing until it reaches the smoothness you desire.
