Hi Demo :-) I don't think that I would try boiling the chicken so it's partially cooked. These Oven Fried Chicken recipes are probably about as fast as you can get other than going to KFC or some similar restaurant. Maybe someone else will post a reply that is faster but I think you have to resign yourself to be patient when you are making fried chicken in oil or when you are baking it in the oven for that matter.
Oven Fried Chicken
1 tablespoon butter
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 to 3 1/2 pounds chicken pieces
Heat oven to 425 . Put butter in a 13x9x2-inch baking pan; place the pan in the oven to melt butter.
Meanwhile, mix flour, paprika, salt, and pepper. Coat chicken pieces with the dry mixture; place skin sides down in hot melted butter in baking pan.
Bake chicken, uncovered, for 35 minutes; turn chicken pieces. Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes longer, or until juices run clear from thickest pieces. Oven fried chicken serves 4 to 6.
Amazing Chicken
Makes 4 Servings (4 servings).
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 cups Italian seasoned bread crumbs
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Grease a shallow baking dish.
Coat chicken breasts on all sides with mayonnaise, and roll in bread crumbs until coated. Place coated breasts into the prepared pan.
Bake uncovered for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until chicken is no longer pink in the middle, and the juices run clear.
