Recipe: Peach Pudding (baked, 1950's)

Desserts - Fruit
PEACH PUDDING

6 to 8 peaches, depending on size
Sugar to sweeten
1 cup sifted flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg, well beaten
Cream (for serving)

Sweeten sliced peaches as for table use and put on bottom of buttered Pyrex (9x9-inch) baking dish.

Make topping by combining flour, 3/4 cup sugar, cinnamon and salt; add egg and combine to moisten. This makes a crumbly mixture. Sprinkle topping over fruit.

Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 25-30 minutes or until top is golden brown.

Serve warm from oven with cream.
