Recipe: Peg Bracken's Sherryburgers (I Hate to Cook Book, 1960)
SandwichesI have that book too and there's a recipe for Sherryburgers that include mushroom soup and sherry - maybe that s it?
SHERRY BURGERS
Make patties from a pound of seasoned ground beef. Brown them in a little butter in a skillet, then put them in a baking dish.
Mix and heat in the same skillet:
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
4 tablespoons sherry
and pour it over the patties.
Then bake them at 375 degrees F for 15 minutes.
