Recipe: Pineapple-Cinnamon Chicken Wings

Appetizers and Snacks
Pineapple-Cinnamon Chicken Wings
alt.creative-cook/Margie Cassidy (1996)

I got this from my friend Kate and tried it... (marinated it overnight first; grilled over charcoal). It made enough for me and my husband, but could easily be doubled or tripled. I didn't have onion salt, so I used 1/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp. onion powder. Delicious!

1 can (6 oz.) pineapple concentrate (or any citrus concentrate or citrus blend)
1/2 cup chili sauce
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon onion salt
1 lb. chicken wings

Mix sauce ingredients together; meanwhile, cut wings apart. Throw out tips or save for stock. Marinate wings 12-24 hours. Cook on low 5-10 minutes per side (grill preferred, broiler OK.) Sweet and spicy, wonderful!!
