Recipe(tried): Pineapple Upside Down Cake (Chicago Metallic) - this is our family's favorite too!!
Desserts - CakesMy mom too, received this pan and recipe at her wedding shower in 1943 and though the pan wore out she continued to make it in a cast iron skillet.
This is the way my daughters and I make it today. It is the best recipe I have ever tasted for pineapple upside down cake!!!! I wish I could find the origional pan for my mom, at 81 she says it would be so nice to have, the skillet is just to heavy!
