Recipe: Quick Cornish Pastries (using frozen patty shells)

Misc.
Okay, okay, I KNOW to anyone from Michigan and yes, to a girl named Micha, this is almost sacrilege-Quick Cornish Pastries ..? Using puff pastry???? And canned hash??? And carrots? And NO Rutabaga!!!!

Well, here's the recipe anyway! It's from the Better Homes and Gardens Treasury of Baking Recipes.

Quick Cornish Pastries

1 package frozen patty shells (6 shells)
1 15-ounce can roast beef hash
1/3 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup finely chopped carrot
teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Thaw patty shells in refrigerator overnight. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. On floured surface, roll each patty shell to a 6-inch circle. Combine roast beef hash, onion, carrot and Worcestershire sauce. Place about cup mixture on half of each circle. Fold over other half and seal edges together with fork. Brush top with beaten egg or milk. Place in shallow baking pan. Bake in for 35 minutes or till browned. Serve with catsup, (YEOW!) if desired. Makes 6 servings.
