Main Dishes - Rice, Grains, Pasta
QUICK SPANISH RICE

1 can (14-1/2 oz.) stewed tomatoes
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
1 1/4 cups uncooked white rice
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
2 teaspoons chili powder
3/4 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 pound ground beef, browned (optional)

In medium saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 25 minutes or until rice is done.

Garnish with green onions.

Makes 6 servings.

Found this recipe in a magazine. Cooked this dish for dinner one night, adding the beef. We liked it! Enjoy!
