Raisin Oat Bran Muffin Mix in a Jar
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped dates
1/2 cup lightly packed brown sugar
2 cups oat bran (buy in box like oatmeal) mixed with:
1/4 cup buttermilk powder
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup flour (no bag necessary)
Layer ingredients in order given into a 1 quart "wide mouth" canning jar. Be sure to firmly press each layer into place before adding next layer.
Attach these directions to jar when giving as a gift

Empty jar into a large mixing bowl.
Blend dry ingredients thoroughly.
Add: 1/3 cup oil, 1 cup water and 2 eggs
Mix until just blended. Don't overmix.
Fill 15 standard size muffin cups almost full. Use liners or spray with cooking spray. Bake at 425F for 15 minutes.
