Recipe: Hot Buttered Drink Mix

Hot Buttered Drink Mix
rec.food.recipes/Xeney (1997)
Yield: 3 cups

2-3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
3 tbsp. maple syrup
6 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
3/4 tsp. ground nutmeg

In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients with an electric mixer until well blended. Store in an airtight container in refrigerator.

Serving Instructions:
1 1/2 teaspoons drink mix into 6 ounces of hot apple cider or other juices. For hot buttered rum, add 1 ounce rum to cider mixture.
