Baked Corn Casserole

1/4 cup butter or margarine
2 (3oz) pkg cream cheese -- softened
1 (17oz)can whole kernel corn -- drained
1 (16-1/2oz) can cream style corn
1 (4oz) can chopped green chilies
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 can french fried onions -- divided
In a large bowl, beat together butter and cream cheese. Stir in corns, chilies and onion. Pour into greased 8" sq. baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 15 min. Remove, stir in half the fried onions then sprinkle the rest on top. Bake 15 min. more.
