Recipe(tried): Russian Tea (2)
BeveragesADVERTISEMENT
I have 2 Russian TEA RECIPES. the first one I have made for 25 years or more and everyone loves it. The second is made from scratch and may be something that is made in a restaurant.
RUSSIAN TEA
2 cups sugar
1 heaping cup instant tea granules
3/4 cup tang
6 oz. lemonade granules (with sugar)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves
mix and keep in a glass jar. mix by tablespoonfuls in a cup of hot water to taste, this could take several, taste as you go along. If recipe seems too sweet , then reduce the amount of sugar the next time.
RUSSIAN TEA (made from scratch)
2 cups water
2 cups sugar
1 small can frozen orange juice
juice of 1 lemon
Bring to a Boil the above. Add:
7 tea bags
1 Tablespoon whole cloves
6 cinnamon sticks
and simmer for 10 minutes. Strain into:
20 cups boiling water
Can use a large 30 cup coffee pot to do the simmering, simply pour in and let it go through its normal percolating process.
These are recipes I have had and used since 1979 or longer. hope you enjoy
