Recipe: Sausage Casserole and Cheesy Sausage Noodle Bake

Main Dishes - Casseroles
SAUSAGE CASSEROLE

1 lb. hot or mild sausage or turkey sausage for low fat
1 large onion, chopped
1 large green pepper, chopped
1 can (4 oz.) tomato sauce
1 (4 oz.) sour cream
Small pkg. noodles
Parmesan cheese

Brown sausage, saute onion and green pepper in meat.

Add tomato sauce and simmer awhile.

Cook noodles and drain. Place in casserole dish. Add meat mixture to noodles. Mix sour cream through noodles. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Bake in oven 350 degrees until bubbles.


CHEESY SAUSAGE NOODLE BAKE

1 pkg. egg noodles
1 lb. hot or milk pork sausage
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup celery, chopped
1 can (11 oz.) cheddar cheese soup
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) cream of celery soup
3 tbsp. Parmesan cheese, grated

Prepare noodles as package directs. Brown sausage, onion and celery in skillet; pour off grease.

Mix noodles, sausage mixture and soups in 9 x 13 inch long baking dish. Sprinkle cheese over top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until bubbly.

For milder flavor, use mild sausage.
