Recipe(tried): Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs (using apple butter, lemon juice, and orange juice)

SLOW COOKER BARBECUE RIBS

4 lbs bone in country style pork ribs (I also use baby back ribs
2 teaspoons salt, divided
BARBECUE SAUCE:
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 cup apple butter
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon steak sauce
1 teaspoon coarse ground pepper
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon Worchestershire sauce

Cut ribs apart, sprinkle 1 teaspoon of salt evenly over ribs and set aside.

Stir together remaining 1 teaspoon salt and sauce ingredients until blended.

Pour half the sauce into a 5 quart slow cooker. Place ribs in slow cooker and pour remaining sauce over ribs.

Cover and cook in HIGH 6-7 hours.
