Snowballs

Serving Size : 48

1 cup walnuts -- chopped
1 cup margarine or butter -- softened
1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/4 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
confectioner's sugar to coat

Finely chop the walnuts in a blender of food processor, then set aside. Cream together the margarine and 1/2 c confectioner's sugar. Add vanilla. Stir in the flour, salt and nuts. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place them an inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes. Roll in confectioner's sugar when cooled. Makes 4 dozen
