Recipe: Sour Cream Cake (3 recipies) for Barb

Hi Barb:-) Here are 3 recipes that I found on the internet for you to try. Let us know which one, if any, you decide to try and how you liked it.
Easy Sour Cream Cake
(Double this recipe and bake in a 9 X 13-inch pan.)
Yield: 12 Servings
1/2 c Butter; softened
1 c Sugar
2 Eggs
2 c Sifted cake flour
1 c Sour cream
1/2 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp Baking soda
1 tsp Baking powder
1. Preheat oven to 350 . Grease an 8" square pan.
2. Combine all ingredients; bake 40 minutes. Cool
in pan on wire rack 15 minutes before removing
from pan to cool completely.
Sour Cream Cake
(You could omit the walnut and sugar topping.)
3/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
2 cups flour
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream together butter and sugar; add eggs and sour cream. Mix in dry ingredients to butter mixture and add vanilla. Pour into a 13x9 baking pan; sprinkle with chopped nuts and sugar, and bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
Sour Cream Cake (Greek Keik)
(You could omit the syrup that is poured over this cake.)
1/2 lb butter
2 cups sugar
5 eggs
3 cups cake flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup milk
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
Syrup:
2 cups sugar
1 3/4 cup water
1 lemon wedge
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Prepare syrup:
Boil syrup ingredients 10 minutes and let cool.
Prepare Cake:
Melt butter and cool. Then cream with sugar and eggs. Add mixed flour( baking powder,soda) alternately with milk and sour cream to the batter. Stir in vanilla. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake in a 350F oven about 35 minutes or until tested done. Pour cooled syrup over hot cake. Let cake cool completely before cutting.
