Recipe(tried): Southen Iced Tea

Beverages
This is exactly the way I make ice tea... and my mother before me and her mother before her and....

I sometimes add a mixture of ice cubes and cold water to bring the hot mixture up to make a full pitcher and speed up the cooling process.

A funny story about the "tea pan". My aunt on my dad's side once came for a visit. She decided that while Mom was occupied elsewhere, she'd scrub her nasty pan that was nearly black from daily tea brewing. Mom nearly had a heart attack when she found that her seasoned pan had been scrubbed show-room clean with Comet and a Brillo pad. She had always just boiled cranberries every year in the pan to remove most of the built up stain.
