Recipe: Speedy Apple Crisp (oven or microwave)

SPEEDY APPLE CRISP

5 to 6 cups peeled, sliced cooking apples
1/3 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 to 1 tsp. ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Spread apples in a 9x9 inch baking pan.

Cut butter into remaining ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over apples.

Bake at 375 degrees F for 30 to 35 minutes. Serve warm.

Microwave Directions:
Assemble as above using a glass baking dish. Microwave on HIGH uncovered 7-10 minutes or until apples are tender, turning pan 1/4 turn after 4 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
