STIR-FRIED BEEF AND BROCCOLI
"A dinner idea that's ready in less than 30 minutes! Serve this stir-fry over rice or Asian noodles."
1 package (envelope) McCormick Brown Gravy Mix
1 cup water
1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
3/4 pound flank or boneless sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
2 cups broccoli florets
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms (optional)
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger (optional)
Cooked rice or Asian noodles (optional, for serving)
Mix gravy mix, 1 cup water and pepper in medium bowl. Set aside.
Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add beef; cook and stir 3 to 4 minutes.
Stir in broccoli, optional mushrooms, optional ginger, and gravy mixture. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 5 to 8 minutes or until broccoli is tender-crisp.
Serve over cooked rice or noodles.
Makes 4 servings
