Recipe(tried): Submarine Sandwiches with Creamy Italian Dressing

SUBMARINE SANDWICH

This sandwich expands to hold whatever your refrigerator does.

1 loaf (1 pound) French bread
Margarine or butter, softened
4 ounces Swiss cheese slices
2 cups shredded lettuce
2 medium tomatoes, thinly sliced
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1/2 pound salami, sliced
1/2 pound fully cooked smoked ham, thinly sliced
1 medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1/4 cup creamy Italian dressing

Cut bread horizontally in half. Spread bottom half with margarine.

Layer cheese, salami, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, salami, ham and bell pepper on top. Drizzle with dressing. Top with remaining bread half.

Secure loaf with wooden picks and cut into 6 pieces.

Makes 6 servings
