Recipe: Cranberry-Raisin Stuffing (using whole cranberry sauce) (1969)

CRANBERRY-RAISIN STUFFING

14 cups soft bread cubes (about 14 slices bread)
4 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1 (16-ounce) can (2 cups) whole cranberry sauce
1/2 cup raisins
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Toast bread cubes in 300 degree F oven for about 15 minutes.

Toss toasted bread cubes with melted butter or margarine. Add cranberry sauce, raisins, sugar, salt, lemon juice, and cinnamon; toss lightly till well mixed.

Makes 8 cups stuffing, enough for a 12-pound turkey
