Recipe(tried): Sunday Dinner at Our House - Crockpot Pork Roast
MenusHi, everyone! I wanted to post what I made for my family's Sunday Dinner before I forgot.
We had:
Crockpot Pork Roast
Macaroni and Cheese with Wine
Steamed Cabbage
Broccoli and Raisin Salad
Sweet Tea with Lemon
Paula Deen's Brownie Cupcakes I am here to tell you that those cupcakes are addictive!
Here is the recipe for the
CROCKPOT PORK ROAST
2 large onions, sliced
1 red bell pepper
2 Tbsp. minced garlic
seasoned salt
pepper
1 (4 to 5 lb.) lean pork loin roast
1 can Swanson's Italian Herbs Chicken Broth
1 jar banana peppers with liquid
Worcestershire sauce
Spray crockpot with Pam. Add onions, bell pepper, and garlic. Salt and pepper the pork roast. Place the roast into the crockpot. Add the chicken broth, banana peppers, and Worcestershire sauce.
Cook on LOW for 7-8 hours.
When ready to serve, remove the pork roast from the crockpot. Put the roast on a large plate and shred the meat, removing the fat as you shred.
Serve the pork with barbecue sauce on the side.
When the cooking liquid has cooled, pour it in a colander. Throw the vegetables away and store the cooking liquid in a large container. The next time that you want to make rice, substitute the cooking liquid for the water. It will be delicious!
Have a happy week!
