Recipe(tried): Sunday Dinner at Our House - Marinated Sirloin Steak
Menus Hi, everyone! This is the second weekend in a row that I have cooked at home. As strange as it sounds, it is a wonderful feeling!
Kristin came home for Thanksgiving and we enjoyed her so much. It's amazing how "grown-up" they become when they go away to school.
Today for lunch we had: marinated sirloin steak, zipper cream peas, scalloped potatoes, CLAUSSEN Pickles, biscuits, and sweet tea with lemon. The menu was easy and delicious.
MARINATED SIRLOIN STEAK
1-2 sirloin steaks
1 bottle Citrus Splash Red Ruby Ginger Salad Dressing
1 bottle Citrus Splash Oriental Orange Salad Dressing
2 T. minced garlic
2-3 T. soy sauce
1 onion, chopped
In 2 large plastic bags, place 1 steak. Mix the salad dressings together. Add minced garlic, soy sauce, and chopped onion. Mix this together well. Pour one-half of mixture over each steak. Seal the bags well and refrigerate overnight.
When ready to cook the steaks, heat the grill--I used the Healthy Maverick Grill--and spray the grill with PAM. Remove the steaks from the plastic bags and discard marinade. Place the steak on the grill and cook until done. When the first steak is done, remove it from the grill and spray the grill with PAM again. Place the second steak on the grill and grill until done.
Let the meat "rest" at least 15 minutes before cutting into the steak.
P.S.--I grilled more than one steak because I am planning on using the leftovers in beef stroganoff or steak salad.
Happy Sunday!
