Super-Simple Sloppy Joes

Think outside the bun. Buttermilk biscuits make a tasty base for traditional joes.

1 (16.3-oz.) can Pillsbury Grands! Refrigerated Buttermilk Biscuits
1 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 small onion, chopped
1 (10 3/4-oz.) can condensed tomato soup
1/4 cup water
1 1/4 teaspoons chili powder
1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

Heat oven to 375F. Bake biscuits as directed on can.

Meanwhile, in large skillet, cook ground beef, bell pepper and onion over medium-high heat until beef is thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Drain. Stir in all remaining ingredients. Cover; simmer 10 minutes or until thoroughly heated.

To serve, split warm biscuits. Spoon beef mixture into biscuits.

Makes 8 sandwiches
