Recipe(tried): Tips Regarding Glazing a Bundt Cake

Desserts - Fillings, Frostings
Hi Cathy. Here are some tips about applying glaze to bundt cakes.

Cool your cake for at least two hours before applying your glaze. Your glaze should be thin enough to pour or drizzle, but not so thin it will run off the cake. Some people poke holes in the top of their cake before applying the glaze. I have never tried that step.

Start glazing your cake from the top of the cake so the glaze can cascade down the sides without disturbing the outer layer of your cake.

To get the glaze to drip specifically in the marks (indents) on the cake, guide it there with a spoon OR place the glaze into a ziptop bag and snip the tip and "pipe" it into place.

I personally prefer to place the glaze in the ziptop bag and "pipe" it into place. You do not need to actually touch the cake with the tip of the bag, just use the bag to drizzle the glaze where you want it.

Hope this helps. Kel
