Recipe: Ye Olde Tavern Meatballs (1980's)

YE OLDE TAVERN MEATBALLS
Recipe from Ye Olde Tavern restaurant, New London, CT

1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup unseasoned bread crumbs
3 stalks celery, chopped fine
1 small onion, chopped fine
1 egg
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp basil
1/2 tsp ground white pepper
1/2 tsp onion salt
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp celery salt

Thoroughly mix all ingredients and roll into meatballs. Makes about 16.
Place meatballs on (lightly greased or foil-lined) sheetpan.

Bake at 350 degrees F for about 12 to 15 minutes, until brown on the outside, and interior temperature reads 165 degrees F. Serve piping hot.
