Those puffy fried dough things are FANK, Hungarian donuts. Palascinta are thin crepes. You put seedless black raspberry jelly in them, roll them up and eat! Some people sprinkle powder sugar over the top. Also, you can stuff them with ricotta or farmer cheese, then refry them after rolled- these are more like blintz. Hint: use BUTTER and not Crisco like the recipes tend to state- they are a lot tastier- and don't use too many eggs! More than one, possibly two eggs per quart of batter is French, not Hungarian!
