Recipe: Yummy Pineapple Dessert and Dump Cake (using cake mix)

YUMMY PINEAPPLE DESSERT

1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 pkg (2-layer size) butter brickle cake mix
1 1/2 cups coconut
3/4 cup chopped nuts
3/4 cup melted butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13x9-inch baking pan.

Put pineapple (juice and all) into prepared pan.

Sprinkle dry cake mix over pineapple, then sprinkle coconut and nuts on top.

Pour melted butter over all.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

DUMP CAKE (USING PIE FILLING)

1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 can pie filling, any flavor (cherry, blueberry, apple, etc.)
1 box (2-layer size) yellow cake mix (or any flavor)
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, melted
1/2 cup chopped nuts or coconut (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Pour pineapple in bottom of 13x9-inch baking pan.

Put pie filling on top of pineapple. Sprinkle dry cake mix on top.

Pour melted butter on top of cake mix. Add pecans.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes until brown.
