ISO: Apple Cake with Caramel Sauce, Sphere/Cuisine Magazine

I am searching for the recipe for an apple Bundt cake with caramel topping which I believe I originally obtained from Sphere Magazine, ca. 1978-81. As I recall it was an end of year issue, with mainly red/green cover but not specifically a "Christmas" issue. I might be an entirely different mag, but the "Sphere" covers I have seen recently look familiar. I do recall the cake had caramel topping, part of which was poured over the cake while hot from the oven. I recently found a similar recipe, but not "the" one. As I recall, the recipe used a substantial amount of veg. oil and the apple really baked into the cake - no large chunks remaining. I will be forever grateful if someone can locate the recipe.
