ISO: Best way to thaw amke-ahead meals

Misc.
This is the first time that I am to this site. I love it. I have been saying that I was going to start cooking and freezing meals for years, but never got into it. My question: What is the best way to thaw out these make-ahead recipes? I know that some things freeze better than others and I could ruin the whole thing if I try to thaw it out wrong.....Please let me know ASAP. A friend of mine is having surgery in a few weeks and I am trying to fill her deep freezer prior to her surgery so that her family has a bunch of go-to meals in thier difficult time. Thanks so much!! ~ Cassie
