ISO: Boiled Oatmeal Cookies?

I had a recipe for boiled oatmeal cookies that I got from my mother. We've both since lost the recipes, and I'd like to find it again. It involved cooking sugar, brown sugar, butter, and vanilla in a pot on the stove until melted into a syrup, stirring in oatmeal, and dropping by spoonfuls onto waxed paper and letting cool. They were very good. Can anyone help me out?
