ISO: butterscotch tart (like UK school cafeteria)

well i've bin looking for the old school pudding butterscotch tart for over a year now, have tried lots of different recipes but not one of them comes close to the one i had at school in the late 1970's so please if anyone if anyone finds a recipe thats just like they had at school could you let us know thanks
