ISO: Cake Recipe

Help please! I am in need of 2 different cakes to make for a Rotary bar-b-q, that is a money making project. They are expecting 1000 people and we are each in charge of 2 sheet cakes to provide the desserts. They are having bar-b-q sandwiches, coleslaw, baked beans and a dessert.
I need 2 easy sheet cake recipes that are fast & easy to make, look and taste good, and will stand up to standing out for several hours possibly (in AC).
I had a recipe for a chocolatecake using cake mix and cherry pie filling that was easy and good but can't locate the recipe.
This event is Friday June 19. I would appreciate any help! Thanks!
