ISO: Dressing made with Cornbread and Light Bread

My mother -in-law always made the dressing for thanksgiving and never wrote the recipe down. Now she has dementia and can't remember. I know it has cornbread, light bread celery and onions and sage. But when cooked it is more like a cake than the moist corn bread dressing. Does anyone know how to make this? I would appreciate the help. She is a wonderful cook but like most wonderful cooks she just uses a little this and a little that and i am not that good yet.
