ISO: fried chicken with white wine sauce (BH&G, 1980's)

I my better homes and garden book in the 80's I had a recipe for chicken. I remember you fry it just like normal but then you made a sauce with white wine and some other ingredients and let it simmer. It was delicious. Needless to say I no longer have the book or recipe. Please help
