ISO: Garlic Sauce

There is a restaurant in the Bronx, New York entitled 3-way Fried Chicken. The food is Dominican Republic. They serve a garlic sauce to pour over your meal, which is "rotiserre" chicken, beans and yellow rice and pigeon peas. I have tried and tried to make the garlic sauce just by taste, and everytime it comes out not so tasty. The ingedients appear to be garlic, vineger and olive oil; and obviously something else I am missing. Please Help ME!
