ISO: Having Grandma help cook

My 92-year old grandmother is living with my dad the next couple of months. She walks very little with her walker, primarily getting around with the wheelchair. Her short-term memory lasts about 2 minutes, but she can tell us anything about the past.

My husband and I have been 'grannysitting' so my dad can get a break. Tomorrow we'll go after lunch and stay with her until bedtime. We'd like to have her help make dinner, but I need suggestions. Should I plan a meal that kids would be able to assist in the preparation?

The last time we took care of her, my husband let her dry the silverware. She really enjoys being a part of the action, so I know she'll enjoy helping in any way. It's just that I can't think of what will fit with her limitations.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
