ISO: homemade pie filling

Misc.
Hi, in Germany you can't buy canned pie filling so I'll have to make my own because I want to try some recipes using that stuff.Does anybody have a good recipe, I tried one I found on the net but that turned into a slimy mess.I'd also like to "can" it not freeze it for storing but I'm not experienced in canning and I don't have equipment apart from jam-glasses(the ones you buy jam in, cleaned, of course).Maybe someone can help me, I'd appreciate that a lot!:0)
