ISO: How do I make chipotle peppers?

Misc.
I have jalepenos that I grew and want to smoke them to
make chipotle peppers. Would I use mesquite wood for
this? If not, what kind? After I smoke them, I am going
to put them in my dehydrator. Any help would be appreciate.

Thanks!
