ISO: Portuguese pumpkin yeast fritters

Misc.
Does anyone have a recipe for a deep fried yeast pumpkin fritter called feordesh (I don't know the proper spelling).
They were served warm and rolled in cinnamon sugar. I had Portuguese neighbors who would make this for family events and I would frequently receive a plate of these. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
