ISO: Simple Healthy Recipes

Hi All, please please can you help me. I am a 25 year old woman and cannot cook, i have no idea how long you boil veggies for or how to make the simplest of meals (only last week i set sphagetti on fire!) It is embarassing!! And what makes it worse is that ive met a French man (who is obsessed with food) and i think if we ever split up it would be because of food!! (his love of it and my no knowledge of it) So please please can you give me your most simplest healty tasty recipes with no big words please (what exactly does saute mean!!) XX
