ISO: Sourdough Bread Like Cracker Barrel - Questions
Misc. I tried the recipe for Almost Like Cracker Barrel Sourdough Bread and I have a couple of questions.
First off, the starter instructions worked great. In the bread section, I let the dough rise in the cold oven until it doubled, I am confused as to what comes next. The recipe says to put a pan of boiling water on the shelf next to the bread in the oven. Is this for a second rise? Also, should i punch the dough down before the second rise. Additionally, Should I remove the pans from the oven, preheat to 450, then put it back in for 10 minutes and then turn the heat down to 350? I'm confused.
